PodCulture 66: Crux of the Matter – Part B

You are hereby welcomed to this week’s episode by the velvet voice of Farscape’s Lani Tupu!

We get the guilt on early, and Glenn’s got one that even he hesitates to recommend! “Thriller”, aka “They Call Her One Eye”, is the envelope pushing, sex and violence marriage that is said to have inspired the twisted genius of Quentin Tarantino.

Geeks go shopping this week, as Brad shows off his new Transformers, including the Jazz repaint, the voyager class Optimus, and the 20th Anniversary dvd edition of Optimus. Christina enjoys the new Dalek and Doctor Nine figures, and her Yoda Lunchbox. Brad extends the bookshelves once again with the Buffy books, “Dark Congress” and “Blackout”, and the third volume of The Invincibles. Christina spreads the geek love, giving her near-Muggle coworker a Lost “Sawyer” figure. The dvd shelf groans under the weight of both the Collector’s Edition of Serenity, and the first season of Heroes. Sparse, but not to be left out, Glenn’s brought Robot Chicken-Season 2, and the animated Doctor Strange dvd into his collection.

PodCulture 65: Crux of the Matter – Part A

After an introduction by the deliciously undead James Marsters, the gang is back in action!

Glenn talks about the visually stunning Dragon Wars, Christina struggles with Man’s need for big shiny stuff, the boys await the coming Halo 3, and all are still amazed they survived Dragon*Con.

Glenn’s just watched Blackhawk Down for the first time, and picked up the surprisingly beloved Dead or Alive. Christina and Brad watched the less-than-thrilling pilot for Flash Gordon, and it’s thumbs uncertain for The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Glenn’s looking forward to seeing the Bionic Woman pilot, and Christina’s signing herself up for bionic bits.
