We get right down to the sweet stuff and start off with a Geek Cuisine! Chocolate Dipped Candy Cane Peeps delight and impress everyone. Brad talks about Holiday Tic-Tacs and the napalm cinnamon and peppermint combination of flavors.

Christina is Player 1 for this Game Talk. She is addicted to Bloons TD by Ninja Kiwi on both her phone and on the PC. She’s also playing Disney’s Where’s My Water and compares the cute factor to Cut The Rope. Adam tells about the adorable Om Nom plush for his sister-in-law for Christmas. Adam is playing Star Wars The Old Republic, finally reveling in the mass release. He tells about why it’s so good, and the happiness he has at having no Gungans in the game. He goes into the various classes and characters as well as modes of play. Everyone is glad for the amazingly smooth launch and additional content pack released. Adam got the Collector’s Edition and shares the list of all the cool swag it comes with. Brad was enjoying the DC Universe Online holiday content, and shares how bad the server slam was when it went free to play. In the meantime he’s enjoying the Star Trek Online retired captain early access to the newly free-to-play game. He and Adam mention the new tweaks and upgraded graphics. Brad is playing Dragon Age 2 and loving the spazziness of Eve Myles’ character, and still prefers it to Skyrim.

Glenn returns just in time for the second Geek Cuisine! We twist Triple Double Neopolitan Oreos. There might be a fight over who gets to keep these thrice delicious cookies.

In close, Adam has been staying up late being wound up from exercise. Christina wants you to watch Stephen Fry In American if you can find it. Adam wants you to watch Sherlock if it’s too cold to get outside, or even just plan an adventure. Brad wants you to stay in, keep warm and play games!

Welcome, Geeklings! Brad, Adam and Christina open and share that Glenn won’t be with them for some of the night’s recording, but he’ll be making up for it in his segment!

The remaining 3 get their snacks ready, as they enjoy two flavors of Archer Farms Popcorn! Find out if the White Chocolate Cinnamon or the Cranberry Orange flavor is the favorite!

Glenn opens this week’s Tech Talk with his new phone, an HTC Amaze 4G from T-Mobile. He and Carly both have the new shiny in their new D30 cases. It’s his first Android phone and agrees that it doesn’t take long to get used to. He and Adam go over specs. Christina is jealous of the wi-fi calling update, and Glenn loves the 8MP camera. Brad takes a moment to talk about SOPA and his domain hosting. Adam inquires about battery life on the Amaze and Glenn has been impressed thus far. He mentions having his Marvel Comic app and Brad suggests the Comicat app.

If his new phone isn’t cool enough, Glenn has brought his Asus Transformer Prime tablet to show off! Christened with the Captain America live Wallpaper, everyone loves the sleekness of the design. Glenn tells the epic tale of hunting down his tablet and the minor disappointment of the updated release. Brad is happy with the new options with his Nook tablet. Glenn gives the example of the video power with Shadow Gun from Mad Finger Games. Brad and Christina discuss how great it would have been carrying one in school. Glenn loves how all his movies, music and apps sync up. Christina and Brad are in the market for new phones from Sprint and look forward to the new tech. Wows all around from the quartet of geeks!

Glenn gave Carly a Kindle Fire for Christmas and takes a moment to talk about her opinions and favorites. Adam mentions the Asus EeePad Memo. Christina marvels at the leaps and bounds in technology recently and the guys respond with the tech on sci-fi shows. All Adam wants is a hover board. Glenn shares that Hasbro isn’t pleased with the naming of his tablet. The camera perks on his Transformer Prime freak everyone out.

Adam has brought Zachary’s Raspberry Thin Mints for our second Geek Cuisine! Raspberry, mint and dark chocolate. How can we go wrong? Christina discusses her worries for the fate of her favorite Hostess treats.

Thanks to The Great Luke Ski for his song, Snoopy The Dogg, and to The British Invaders Podcast for their promo!

Glenn won’t be with us this whole episode, since he has been flying crazy hours over the frozen Bluegrass State. He is glad shows are coming back from winter break, including Vampire Diaries and Fringe. Everyone anticipating the constellation of stars in The Avengers movie. Brad opens the floor for Christmas swag with the not-so-life-sized TARDIS in the living room, as well as Doctor Who Monopoly from Christina. Christina got a Zoom from Brad and Doctor Who sleep pants from Elizabeth and Spoonflower.com. Adam is working out like a madman in preparation for his Tough Mudder race. When he’s not exhausted, Star Wars The Old Republic is his time has been spent. He has loved his nephew’s first Christmas and tells of his family’s holiday adventure. Christina and Brad went up to her family in Cleveland for Christmas this year, and she loved being with her siblings, despite her sister’s bad music choices. Christina gave Brad Stargate Universe on blu-ray as well as the blue koala from Squishables.com He gets wicked with Out of Oz from Christina. He teases us with a plotline from the Torchwood books that were the prequel to Miracle Day. His mom gave him the traditional Stephen King book this year, 11/22/63, and gives us an overview of the story. Glenn has finally picked up Arkham Asylum and is back to playing World of Warcraft. Carly gave him in-game gear for Christmas and he returned the geek love with a Moonkin. His mom gave him extra mounts for his GoPro 2. From Glenn’s dad he got a cookie tin of ammo and he gave Carly her first shotgun . Christina gave Brad Dragon Age 2, because of Eve Myles as a voice actress in the game. Christina was pleased, since they’re watching Voyager now, that Kate Mulgrew is in it as well.

Winter is the perfect time to catch up on TV and DVD. Adam opens with Sherlock. The trio discusses the characters, the relationship with Mrs. Hudson and the deer stalker hat. Brad and Christina notice comparisons to the 7th Doctor. Switching to movies, Adam has seen and enjoyed Mission Impossible. He also saw Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows, and while he liked it, he found the first movie superior. That said, though, he did love the cinematography. Back to the tv series, Christina loves the way you are visually shown the texts and thought processes. Adam and Christina promise to watch Downton Abbey. The thought leads to Community, which Adam is happy to announce will be coming back. They briefly touch on the Doctor Who Christmas special and how each felt about the show. Brad mentions Alexander Armstrong (aka Mr. Smith on Sarah Jane Adventures). Brad and Christina talk about watching Star Trek Voyager, and Christina is greatly enjoying the character of Kathryn Janeway. The pair have also caught the continuation of Law and Order UK, having had a cliffhanger not turn out like they’d hoped. Castle is back, too, much to their happiness. Everyone enjoyed Terra Nova, and although it may not be their favorite show, they do hope it comes back. Brad has found the Nerf gun that the weapons are made from and looks forward to painting it to match. They debate Being Human and liked Russel Tovey in Sherlock. Everyone is saddened by the loss of Doctor Who’s confidential. Christina loves the British actor crossover.

Geeks, prepare to be Cuisined! How do you make Oreos better? Cover them in chocolate! We enjoy Limited Edition White Fudge Covered Oreos.

Thanks to The Being Human Podcast for their promo and to Dino-Mike for his song Hymn for Sin.

Continuing from where in time and space we left off with our discussion on the second half of Series Six, we open with Closing Time. Adam loves Craig, played James Corden, as companion and Christina recommends Gavin and Stacy. Nick loves Gareth Roberts as a writer and everyone laughed at the Confidential. Christina objects to the one un-Doctor-ishness moment in the show. Justin and Adam have both named their nephews Stormageddon. Justin’s favorite part included The Doctor’s monologue to the baby. Nick gives a history of the Cybermats and the reappearance of Linda Barrett. He explains how he got into Who, not so many years ago, and Andy talks about his first experiences. Brad and Nick theorize about the evolution of Cybermen in our universe.

On to The Wedding Of River Song, Brad’s biggest complaint is the overt mention of the death of the Brigadier and no one anticipated Nick’s reaction to it. Half the Tardis Crew was annoyed by the hand binding ritual, while the others found it charming. Adam found it a weaker crescendo than some of the other finales. Christina enjoyed the dynamic between River and Amy at the end. The group discusses River’s plotline and what lies in store for the Doctor’s companions next year. Nick winds up the episode discussion with his feelings about the out they gave The Doctor as well as recovering after having gotten too Godlike.

The crew debates the merits of self-contained stories versus epic lengthy story arcs. Nick compares the forcing of information in Doctor Who to Star Trek Generations. Christina watches Rory and River as her character markers to follow throughout the season. Nick and Richard wish just a guy would be a companion. Justin says Rebel Flesh should have been midseason break and would have been a much more effective cliffhanger.

On the whole, everyone seems to have enjoyed the second half of the series better than the first, with only one or two notable exceptions. Justin fills us in on the plan for Christmas Day on BBC America, as well as The Nerdist Podcast.

Nick, Richard, Andy and Justin join Brad, Adam and Christina this week as the gang discusses the second half of Series Six!

They begin with Let’s Kill Hitler and delve into the regeneration of River Song. Nick’s only problem with the episode was the Doctor’s sonic cane. Adam notices the issue of the number of regenerations allowed and everyone weighs in. Justin talks about what he liked about Mels and Christina gives the female perspective on the lady timelord. The group touches on why they feel how they do about Matt Smith.

Moving on to Night Terrors, everyone is as impressed with Jamie Oram’s performance as they were creeped out by the dolls. Nick appreciates Mark Gatiss’ gift for dark storytelling. Christina shares that it was her mom’s first episode of Doctor Who. Brad compares his experience watching it at Dragon Con versus in his own apartment. Andy was touched by the father/son dynamic and compares it to the novel, The Road.

On to The Girl Who Waited, Nick speaks on his previous notions of Amy and her growth as a character, while Richard takes the counterpoint. Justin marks this as the episode he fell in love with Karen Gillan and Nick and Christina open the floor to commending Rory’s character. They discuss the enemy in this episode as well as the role the Doctor plays.

Next The God Complex touches on everyone’s fears. Christina was impressed with David Walliams’ character and Nick as a fan boy is happy with the mention of the old-school minotaur. Everyone is thrilled to see Amelia and the group mentions differences between Amy and her younger self. What do you think was in the Doctor’s room? Nick talks about how and why the Doctor leaves Amy and Christina laments the lack of closure between him and Rory. Finally, they discuss the wrapping up of the “finding the baby” storyline, and their theories about parenthood and time travel.

Welcome to the final part of the 300th episode of PodCulture!

To start us off, Brad adds up the total hours of geekness over the past years. Everyone speaks on some of their favorite moments over the past 300 episodes.

We come back with some pre-holiday Geek and Tell! Glenn is excited about getting his first Android phone, the HTC Amaze. He mentions some of the cool camera features it has. Adam compares it to his Motorola Photon. Brad and Christina helped Brad’s step-mom pick a phone for his little sister, and settled on a Droid Incredible 2. Brad picked up his own piece of Android tech in a Nook Tablet and shares some of his favorite perks. Glenn is anticipating the Asus Transformer Prime. Instead of one for Carly, he bought her up a Kindle Fire.

Brad opens a very special package from Decal Mike, to be opened on our 300 episode. It is a giant, gorgeous decal to commemorate our anniversary. The shiny silver and gold decal is simply the finest present! Thank you!

The gang’s all back for a giant Geek Cuisine! Welcome back Andy, Nick, Richard and Justin! Christina provides the chocolatey goodness this week with Oreo Cookie Bark. She followed the recipe on the Nabisco website, so if it sounds good, go for it!

In closing, the crew discusses the things that have come and gone over the course of three hundred episodes. Glenn is looking forward to playing the new Battlefield 3 downloadable content, while Brad is excited about the Dead Island add-ons. Brad is apprehensively excited about the over-the-top Lollipop Chainsaw. Glenn shares a bit about the debate between he and Adam Baldwin on Twitter. Brad had a geek squad moment with Patricia Tallman in Tweets. Have you had a brush with someone famous on Twitter? Let us know! Adam entreats us all to have or plan an adventure and then play Star Wars The Old Republic. Christina wishes everyone a happy holiday season. Brad thanks the listeners for taking the time to listen to this quartet of quirk every week!

Our music this week includes One Damn Lane by Tony Goldmark and Arcade Gaming Shrine by Palette-Swap Ninja. Special thanks to The Critical Myth Podcast for their promo.

Many thanks to Audible.com. As a PodCulture listener, if you click the above, you can enjoy two weeks to explore the over 85,000 audio book titles and choose one to download for free!
Glenn laments the fact that lots of the shows are on hiatus, but we’re all watching Grimm. He is glad the Powers That Be will be moving it, so it will no longer be up against Supernatural. Christina enjoys figuring out the literary counterparts to each episode. On the sunnier side of the storybook, they gang is enjoying Once Upon A Time. Still, the geek, Christina is playing “spot the Disney in-joke”. Brad is hoping Snow White gets better hair, but everyone is creeped out by Robert Carlisle. Adam has been watching Supernatural and Community. He is extremely nervous about the fate of his favorite band of students. Adam is also nearly finished with the unlikely favorite Friday Night Lights, and has finished up Homeland. He didn’t expect to enjoy Rise of The Planet Of The Apes as much as he did. Brad takes a moment to play Name That Tune with cheesy tv theme songs on his phone, while Glenn explains about Electro Woman and Dyna Girl. Christina and Glenn debate whether or not the tv-themeless trend is good. Christina is still loving New Girl. Her new love this week is Gareth Malone, after having watched Gareth Malone Goes To Glyndebourne. Brad is sad that Chuck’s stars have been tweeting their wrapping the series. They’re all still watching The Big Bang Theory, and have stuck their toes in the Thundercats litterbox. The parallels between Lost and Hawaii Five-O are made again. Terra Nova is growing on everyone. Tis the season for Christmas specials, and we loved sharing the season with Haven, Warehouse 13 and Eureka. Glenn is looking forward to Face Off returning, while Brad and Christina have enjoyed the preview episode of the new Green Lantern animated series. Adam helps Brad find the Nerf gun that the weapons from Terra Nova are based on.

Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallows are peppermint flavored for this massive Geek Cuisine. Andy, Justin, Richard and Nick join us for this festive fluff confection! The gang shares some of their favorite Christmas sweets!

Feeling a little guilty nostalgia, Glenn shares a very animated Guilty Pleasure this week! He shows off his collection of Saturday Morning Cartoons dvds. Sets from each decade feature some of the most popular shows we used to get up early for! Thundar the Barbarian, Monchichis, The Hair Bear Bunch, Honk Kong Phooey, are just a small sampling of the great memories all in one place on these sets. What did you watch when you were a kid? Are they available on dvd? Let us know!

Okay, so those weren’t so Guilty. To make up for it, he shares the The King of Fighters, starring the talented Ray Park and the gorgeous Maggie Q. How can two stars like those be in something so bad? Is there anything redeeming? Listen and find out!

We listen to a voice mail about Death Valley on MTV, which describes it as a mixture of Cops and Day of the Dead. Thanks to Nuclear Bubble Wrap for their song, Disney Song, and to The Saturday B-Movie Reel Podcast for their promo!

We managed to survive the giddiness of 299, and sit down to record the tricentennial episode! Six years and countless fandoms later, we discuss how far we have come. Christina’s highlight, aside from hanging with the gang, has loved all the different tv shows she’s watched because of the show. Adam loved all of the Geek Cuisines and his walks on the culinary wild side. One of Glenn’s favorite things has been the great excuses to buy bad movies.

It’s been a while since a regular recording, but Glenn has been burning through his double XP for Modern Warfare. He and Carly (and Carly’s mom!) are all back to playing World of Warcraft. For his purchase, he is able to get Diablo 3 when it comes out. Adam has been enjoying his early access to Star Wars The Old Republic, because the time for betas has passed! He is back into running, and is now training for the Tough Mudder Competition. On the artistic flipside, one of Adam’s renders was used in a Battlestar ad on Facebook! Christina is playing Santa and crossing things off her list to buy and wrap for everyone. Brad is settling in nicely to his new job and enjoying the good similarities between this and the old.

Andy, Richard, Nick and Justin join the regular crew for a spectacular segment. Brad presents everyone with their own small Parsec Award for their support and contribution to the show over the years, both as co-hosts and friends. Thank you, guys! Nick describes what means the most to him within the podcast and Doctor Who.

Christina is quite happy to present her own Guilty Pleasure, and shares Fright Night. Not the beloved classic from 1985 that her mom spoiled her 8-year-old self with, but the 2011 remake with David Tennant as Peter Vincent (fearless vampire killer). Find out what worked, what didn’t, and what is leaving Christina in a puddle on the floor. Does it stand up to the original? We give it four fangs up!

Jones Soda may have let us down this year, but Taylor’s Tonic Holiday Fizz has stepped up to the plate to be our holiday sodas for Geek Cuisine! Cranberry Dream, Gingerbread House Sparkler, Candy Cane Shake and Eggnog Fizz, make up this festively fizzy segment. Find out which of our mega panel of hosts survives the taste testing, and which might spontaneously combust.

Thanks to The Great Luke Ski for his song It’s A Fanboy Christmas 3 and to The Type 40 Podcast for their promo! Special thanks to Brian from the British Invaders Podcast for his voicemail congratulating us on 300 episodes.

The Doctor is in…AGAIN!

Brad, Christina, Adam, Justin and Richard are in the studio to introduce the second of the two Sylvester McCoy panels at Dragon Con this year. The Seventh Doctor opens discussing his part in The Mikado and his goal to incorporate the spoons in every role he plays, a la W.C. Fields. He mentions the movie he shouldn’t mention and praises Australian actors. This Timelord lives on in the audio adventures and Sylvester explains the direction of the story arcs. He turns the clock back to his early days as an actor, and gives us his take on the 1996 Doctor Who movie. The stocky Scott gives us some of the history of topical events in the series and how fact and fiction sometimes overlap. The Greatest Show In The Galaxy brings up tales of sailors, submarines and standing up for yourself. On a personal note, he discusses growing up without a dad, and how it affected his personality.

Welcome back, Geeklings!

We cut straight to the sugar this week! Mountain Dew Game Fuel is keeping our gamers going, and we try both new flavors! We decide if we stay tried and true to the original flavor or if we decide to go green. Glenn appreciates Brad and Christina saving the double XP point codes on the bottle caps.

Now that they’re all fueled up, the gang geeks on games. Christina opens, enjoying Ghost Wars, the tower defense game for her phone. She appreciates Adam bringing his Child of Eden game for the Kinect to show them. Adam is on pins and needles, playing the Star Wars Old Republic Beta, and is in the early release group after buying the super fancy edition, when it’s finally out for purchase. When he isn’t using The Force, he is playing Just Cause 2 on Steam and loving the open-endedness of it. Battlefield 3 is up on Adam’s list as well, and he and Glenn are both blown away by the character animation. The pair discuss the difficult missions, the environment and the vehicles. Brad has gotten back into Rock Band 3, given the new country pack. He managed to get some of the old song licenses to work, and continues to rock on. Christina still longs for a Queen expansion. Adam talks about Rocksmith, the real guitar instructional game, and Christina appreciates the keyboard tutorial for Rock Band 3. Brad segues into the Back To The Future game for the PS3. Although he appreciates Christopher Lloyd’s performance, the game loses major points for control translation from PC to console. Brad has beat Dead Island on the first character and looks forward to downloadable content. DC Universe Online has finally gone free to play, and Brad has weathered the epic re-downloading process. He finds that the controller for the PC version translates very well. Glenn asks about the different levels and benefits and Brad gladly explains.

Thanks to Steve for the song Everything You Know Is Wrong and to The Type 40 Podcast for their promo!

Christina opens this week and she’s listening to new audiobooks, watching some new tv and planning Christmas shopping! Glenn has bought The Deadliest Catch game for Carly and is playing lots of video games himself. He is flying a lot for work, but managed to find time to watch Captain America. Adam has been working hard and trying to fit in some relaxation. He shares stories of his trip to the Georgia Aquarium and is enjoying the latest round of beta testing for Star Wars The Old Republic. Brad’s sleep timing is still inverted, but he still was able to work his magic on Christina’s computer.

Pour a tall glass of milk for this Geek Cuisine as we turn the lids off of Orange Creamsicle Oreos. Happy faces and thumbs up abound for this summertime taste in the middle of fall. Speaking of fall, Adam tastes the Gummi Mummy that the gang saved for him from the Ghost of Geek Cuisine Past.

Christina starts TV and DVD talk with her happiness at getting to see Phantom. She is loving the US incarnation of Wilfred, as well as keeping up with New Girl and Glee. Glenn is dreading the mid-season breaks of Secret Circle and The Vampire Diaries. He has watched The Rocketeer and picked up The Crow on blu-ray. The group discusses the possibility of a remake, as well as a contemporary connection to the tv series. Glenn lists off all of the shows on Friday nights, and they go way back with the old show, The Charmings. Adam is watching Friday Night Lights and is unexpectedly impressed. Still loving Community, Adam is especially enjoying Inspector Spacetime. They delve into the past few episodes of Castle, as well as a Horrible in-joke. Adam is thrilled to have Storm Chasers back for another death defying season. Everyone in the room has seen Captain America, and we touch on just a couple of our favorite moments. Brad and Christina are enjoying Merlin, despite a heartbreaking moment in this season. The pair greatly enjoyed the camp of An Evening With John Barrowman. Speaking of theatricality, Christina mentions In Search of Shakespeare that she has been watching on Netflix. They are loving Terry O’Quinn alongside Daniel Dae Kim on Hawaii Five-O. They aren’t in love with Ringer, but are watching it when they have time. The comic geeks take a moment for the ill-fated Wonder Woman pilot. Christina and Brad are watching Terra Nova, and Glenn has picked up a Nerf gun that the props are based on. Everyone is happy that Chuck is back and look forward to where this “last season” will take them. Christina is still lobbying for John Noble to win awards for his portrayals on Fringe. Every is intrigued by Once Upon A Time, and although Glenn prefers the grittier Grimm, Christina is looking for all the Disney nods. Although they miss Kate, the pair are still enjoying Sanctuary. They touch on the heartbreaking and uplifting finale of The Sarah Jane Adventures. Everyone is equally creeped out by Walking Dead and theorizes about once and future darkness in the characters, as well as ethical questions brought up in the series.

Glenn opens this episode with some American Cheese. He shares the Shout Factory gem, The Captain America tv movies, starring Reb Brown. We discuss casting, costuming and interpretation of character. Not as bad as some of Glenn’s Guiltier Pleasures, we actually enjoy the retro campiness of the show. Christopher Lee makes everything sound ominous in this show, and Christina is happy to see Connie Sellecca in something other than The Greatest American Hero. Glenn points out funny little flubs in production and appreciates how it is for its time. Christina notes that costuming and technology can be the quickest way to date a show, and Glenn discusses it’s relation to The Six Million Dollar Man. They debate the use of war-related storylines, and the boys muse on the comedic take on wartime settings. A curiosity of superhero history, Glenn is happy to have it in his collection.

Geek Cuisine is more treat than trick, as we share Dairy Queen’s Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. Christina is enjoying this most wonderful time of the year as pumpkin flavored treats abound.

In closing, tell us what you’re dressing up as this year for Halloween! Send us stories and pictures! Glenn shares his Spiderman disaster and Christina tells of the sadness of Corduroy She-Ra. Finally, Brad shares the awesomeness that is our friend and listener, Mike, who has done gorgeous vinyl decals for the shows. Thank you for the brilliant work, Mike!

Our music this week is Rorschach Love by Tom Smith and Kirby Krackle with Super Powered Love. Thanks to The British Invaders Podcast for their promo!

Glenn is playing Rage both single and multiplayer, and talks about some of the cooler points. He is looking forward to Battlefield 3 and Modern Warfare 3, and both he and Brad are anticipating Halo Anniversary. They get back to Green Lantern geeking, picking out some of their favorite effects and moments for the diehard fans. Glenn shares how he and his dad noticed “The Superman formula”. Christina likens Hal’s sidekick to Moss from The IT Crowd, and Brad enjoys the effect on Hal’s eyes like that in the comic. The boys talk about the ring replica from Toys R Us.

Welcome back, Geek O’ Lanterns!

Geek Cuisine is from Glenn this week, as Carly has found Sour Dude’s Sour Straws in four flavors! Find out if apple, strawberry, watermelon and blue raspberry makes us puke or pucker up. Brad tells the ghostly tale of the falling action figures and Christina gives a shout out to Phantom Dennis.

Today’s flavor of Guilty Pleasure is Grindhouse. Glenn gives us a history of the genre and shares his new screener copy of Mike Pecci’s Grindhouse Shorts. Glenn enjoys the comic book style of the multiple-covered dvd. Everyone loves the mood and style of the intro shot and opening menu of the dvd from this gritty photographer-turned-moviemaker. Glenn appreciates the composition and the artistry of this impressive presentation. Christina’s favorite part is the Mommentary, the commentary with his mom.

Arrrr! Glenn provides the second Geek Cuisine of the show, me matey, with Gummy Pirate Choppers! Christina is entirely creeped out by the realistic looking teeth, and the boys devolve into hysterics around the texture. Christina explains the hierarchy of handing out Halloween candy.

In closing, Christina is thrilled to be enjoying the glorious fall weather. Adam shares upcoming local theater, The Alley Theater, which will be playing Evil Dead The Musical for the Halloween season. We also discuss future geekness for Adams wee nephew. Glenn shares the exciting time to be a comic book geek with the plethora of movies coming out on blu-ray. Brad is glad that Green Lantern has mostly survived the DC Universe reboot and Glenn awaits the issue 2 numbers. Brad is glad to hear that soon DC Universe Online and Star Trek Online will be going free to play. As an “altaholic”, Glenn was missing his City of Heroes characters, so while he was happy it went free to play, he is lamenting the short list of character slots. Brad is wondering about Dragon Age 2, given that the lovely Eve Myles is a voice actress.

Thanks to The Type 40 and Critical Myth Podcasts for their promos! Music this week includes Insane Ian with Umbrella Chronicles (Marie Digby as a MoFo Version) and Toyboat with Zombie Momma.

It’s fall and we’re excited for all the new things out for the season. In the meantime, Brad and Christina share about the weird smells coming from the apartment next door.

Get ready to get your game on! We take a moment to talk about the loss to the tech world when Steve Jobs passed away. Christina opens game talk this week with finding the uber cute Cut The Rope for free on the Amazon App Store as well as Paper Camera. Aside from that, she is still playing her normal Farm Frenzy on the PC, Fruit Ninja on the Kinect and Sims on Facebook. Adam is trying out new facets of characters, after his had been wiped in the latest round of the Star Wars The Old Republic Beta. He tells us about the trigger happy Jawa companion. He addresses the comment that the game is “WoW with light sabers”. Adam and Glenn discuss the epic map of the Battlefield 3 Beta. Glenn explains the differences in the suppression and support roles. He shares details about the Hardened Edition of Modern Warfare 3 and the differences in Call of Duty. Glenn’s favorite perk of Battlefield 3 is the massive customizability of the weaponry. While he’s waiting for the came to officially release, Glenn will be picking up Call of Duty, Crysis for the Xbox as well as Halo Anniversary. He has also picked up Rage, from the makers of Doom. Glenn talks about multi player being vehicular combat, which intrigues Brad.

Finally, Brad and Glenn delve in depth into Dead Island. They discuss co-op modes, storylines and some of their favorite aspects. Brad compares it to Left 4 Dead, Bioshock and Dead Rising. Glenn spots a graphical glitch with a quest giver and explains about the cool ways to mod your weapons. Brad shares some of the achievements you can get and Glenn laments lack of character customizing. Brad talks about his Austin Powers moment and Glenn looks forward to the upcoming downloadable content.

Thanks to The Seeker Cast Podcast for their promo and to Kirby Krackle for the undeadly addictive song, Zombie Apocalypse.

Adam opens this week with the great news of the new baby geekling in his family, his nephew Joshua! In other news, he has been working hard and looking forward to his trip to the Georgia Aquarium. Glenn has been putting lots of miles on the helicopter, covering all the bridge news. Brad gives a brief overview of the bridge trauma. If that wasn’t bad enough, Glenn got summoned for jury duty. Christina is watching new shows and catching up on old ones. Brad is happy for the upcoming Green Lantern blu-ray coming out and Glenn got a great deal on Amazon. Brad is still on the job hunt, but is keeping up with what’s good in the game world.

We have a super-sized TV and DVD Talk! Glenn begins with what ended. Haven is finished for the season and Christina is waiting anxiously to see if it has been renewed. Everyone is glad Alphas got renewed and Glenn talks about stepping it up with the mysteries of the Red Flag movement. Glenn is worried that the executive producer of Vampire Diaries is spreading himself too thin and the quality of the show will fall. From the same man comes Secret Circle, and Glenn is starting to like that as well. Christina is angry with Glenn for getting them hooked on The Nine Lives of Chloe King just to have it be cancelled. He and Carly are enjoying Paranormal Witness. Adam is finally totally caught up on Supernatural and finds the most recent twists about Cass interesting. Adam is rewatching Star Trek The Next Generation, and shares the news about plans to remaster them on blu-ray, including the upcoming sampler disc. He is catching up on It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and found some older movie Riff Trax on Hulu. Adam gives a mediocre review of Rio despite impressive animation. He would like the hours of his life back after watching Transformers. Everyone enjoyed X-Men First Class, including amazing CGI and great character development. Christina has started the fifth series of Doc Martin, already sad that there are only 6 episodes. Her other favorite of the new shows is New Girl with Zooey Deschanel. Brad touches briefly on the season finale of Doctor Who, and they’re all hoping Doctor Who Confidential comes back. Christina and Brad are glad to have Merlin back. They discuss the bittersweet excitement at seeing the new half-season of Sarah Jane Adventures. The group discusses the Supernatural Anime season including some character changes. Brad and Christina have finally watched Hancock, and discuss the take on a superhero. The pair are making their way through the British series Misfits, and are of mixed feelings, but will keep going. They’re keeping up with Hawaii Five-O, and enjoy the scenes with Terry Quinn and Daniel Dae Kim. The group is watching Terra Nova, and while not wildly impressed, will keep watching to see if it improves. Glenn likes it better than Falling Skies. Speaking of falling skies, the pair have watched Muppets From Space and Adam has rewatched The Fifth Element. In animation, Brad and Christina have watched Tangled and How To Train Your Dragon. The latter is nothing like the books, but perfectly adorable nonetheless.

Thanks to The Scaper Chronicles Podcast for their promo. This week’s music is The Zombie Connection by Comic Book Goddess.

Adam begins Tech Talk with his shiny new HP DM 1Z with ADM’s new fusion processor. Brad likes the flat keys, Christina enjoys the small size and Richard appreciates the VGA Out port. Adam has been cleaning off the copious amounts of extraneous stuff that comes pre-loaded on computers. Richard shares the granddaddy of Adam’s lappy, the HP Rugged. Richard and Brad discuss versions of Windows. Justin has just bought a Playstation 3, and the boys talk about Portal 2. Justin loved Batman Arkham Asylum and Uncharted. Christina offers to lend her copy of Little Big Planet, but he’s busy with Resistance and L.A. Noir. Christina would love the “Lie To Me” aspect of the game if not the driving bits. Arkham City, Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3. Richard loves the graphics in Dead Island, enticing Brad to pick it up as well. The gang discusses how Sony compensated members for their issues. Brad is enjoying the updates to DC Universe Online and finds out that it will go free to play soon. He appreciates Microsoft releasing the developer preview of Windows 8. Richard raises the question of compatibility. In a discussion of failure of tech, the geeks share about the Sherman Minton Bridge closure, making the Indiana to Kentucky commute a nightmare. They speculate about various fixes and detours. Christina is the anti-climactic end to the tech segment, still addicted to The Sims on Facebook.

Pour a glass of milk for this Geek Cuisine! We indulge in Triple Double Oreos! As a side dish of sweetness, Brad shares his Huber’s Apple Cider. The whole room is excited about the upcoming Trader Joe’s in the area. Christina delivers on GLADOS’ threat with dessert this week, in the form of watermelon Jell-o cupcakes.

In closing, Justin entreats us to tune in to BBC America for the tv version of The Nerdist Podcast with Chris Hardwick. Justin then brings up the issue of prejudice against things in the geek community, and the need to back up our opinions. Do you know someone who says, “I hate…” sight unseen? Or have you judged the comic book by its cover? Were the sweeping statements proved wrong? Tell us the story! Adam is loving the great weather and looking forward to the new fall season. Christina is listening to, and highly recommends, The How To Train Your Dragon series written by Cressida Cowell and brilliantly performed by David Tennant. After an epic closing segment, Brad’s final thought gets stolen by Richard.

Brad, Christina, Adam, Richard and Justin are in the console room for another Tardis Interruptus!

Spoilers, Sweetie! We’re talking about the second half of series 6, up to and including The Girl Who Waited, so if you haven’t see them, you may want to pop back in time and catch them first.

Adam speaks on Let’s Kill Hitler, despite the confab of Mels in Amy’s childhood, and we console ourselves with The Big Bang Two. Justin loves it so far, but wishes the mid-season break would have been after The Almost People. He is loving the paradoxes and looks forward to seeing if there’s any significance to The Doctor’s new coat. Brad and Richard muse on the possibility of throw away lines, which leads Richard to think about the need to know you’re future. Christina shares that Night Terrors was the first episode her mom has ever seen of the show. Brad and Richard appreciate the themes of what makes family into family. They talk about The Girl Who waited in depth, including Karen Gillan’s portrayals and the Doctorness of Rory. Justin gives his favorite line of the series and Richard gives us examples of Amy’s relationship with Rory. The gang discusses what they expect for the last few episodes and what awaits for next year, as well as a Ginger Doctor.

What did you think of the series so far, and what are your hopes for the finale? Call or write and let us know!

Brad, Christina and Adam welcome Justin and Richard into the studio for PodCulture. Richard opens, sharing birthday wishes to Nick and Lisa, and being a bit under the weather. Christina shares the beginning of her story of her whirlwind weekend trip to Cleveland to see Rick Springfield with her mom. Justin shares about his laughing little nephew and how he’s trying to teach him new geek words. Adam regales his white water rafting trip on the Gauley River in West Virginia. In geek terms he is finally caught up on Supernatural, just in time for it to start up again. Adam has also been building 3D models for new animation he’s working on. Brad shares some of the craziness of Dragon Con, and Christina was glad to follow it all on Twitter.

Richard opens TV and DVD talk with having watched the Resident Evil movies and some classic Doctor Who. He is loading up on zombie flicks anticipating the start of season 2 of Walking Dead. Justin holds out hope that it will survive the budget cuts and the boys debate casting decisions. Christina has been watching old episodes of Tony Robinson’s Time Team series. Justin is caught up on Castle in time for the new season and he and discuss the fight for Eureka. Thanks to Adam, he is watching Sons of Guns. Justin has also been keeping up with Sons of Anarchy and has enjoyed the movie Warrior. Finally, he is catching up on Star Trek series and Luther. The gang debates different methods of watching television. Christina was impressed with the documentary series The Tower on Netflix. Adam absolutely loved The King’s Speech. On the flip side of the quality coin, he watched The Fast Five, dubbing it a travelogue for Rio. He gives The Adjustment Bureau a thumbs sideways. Justin tells why he hated Conan The Barbarian before the movie even started. Speaking of remakes, Adam has just seen The A-Team, and the group discusses the translation, leading them to dread upcoming remakes of films. Richard speaks on The Planet of The Apes. They go on a spree of Captain America, Avengers and Thor. Adam has watched Torchwood and True Blood. He is managing to fit in Sons of Guns and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. They are happy to hear that Tucker and Dale Versus Evil is available as a preview to download. The geeks try to sort out the Alphas, Warehouse 13 and Eureka triangle. Brad and Christina talk about how Alphas is what Heroes should have been and Justin explains the premise of Misfits. Christina and Brad are watching Spooks: Code 9 with the lovely Georgia Moffett. Speaking of the petite actress, the pair have watched her in White Van Man. Christina loved Thor with Anthony Hopkins and Idris Elba. She misspeaks and Stellan Skarsgard is Alexander’s dad, and not his uncle, but we love her all the same.

Christina has found this episode’s Geek Cuisine. It’s Gimbal’s Cherry Lovers Hearts with nine different flavors and real fruit juice. In double barrel shot of sugar, she also shares the twelve flavors of Gimbal’s Sour Lovers Hearts. This assortment of awesome has amazing flavors with antioxidant vitamin C. Justin puts four sour hearts in his mouth at once, and if you listen really closely you can hear his face explode.

The Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy himself, welcomes you to a very special episode of the Parsec Award winning PodCulture: Tardis Interruptus!

In the studio with Brad, Adam and Christina are Richard and Justin! In a quick introduction, Brad tells the story of winning a Parsec Award at Dragon Con! Christina tells the guys how awesome it was to speak with Sylvester McCoy on the phone.

In a great treat, Brad shares the audio from one of two of the Sylvester McCoy panels from Dragon Con. The Scottish actor begins with how he started in the business in the Ken Campbell Road Show and where he got his name. He goes on to discuss stepping stones to Doctor Who and his nickname of Three-Year McCoy. The Seventh Doctor talks about stage versus screen work and he even gives a spoon concert for the panel. Audience members pose questions for the Galifreyan alum about Big Finish audio productions and the Doctor Who anniversary, as well as his upcoming role along side Ian McKellan. Finally, as a wonderful surprise treat, Sylvester breathes classic life into a new Who monologue from last season.

We have a grab bag of geek this week!

Glenn reviews Damnation Alley with an excited Nick, Richard and Andy, who fondly remember this guilty classic. Andy recalls the novel it was based on and Glenn’s favorite part is the Land Master. Christina is impressed by the behind-the-scenes features. Nick and Glenn appreciate Shout Factory and their accomplishments in the guilty pleasure universe. Nick mentions the young Jackie Earl Haley and segues into his role in the Dark Shadows revival. Andy admires the hundreds of titles that Christopher Lee was part of.

In the first Geek Cuisine of the show Candy Cane Tootsie Roll Drops.

Glenn is back with The Warrior’s Way. This uber-stylized, action packed movie pits ninjas versus cowboys in what Glenn compares to a Timothy Truman art style. He is glad to see Geoffrey Rush and finds that Kate Bosworth redeems herself from Superman. Nick compares the green screen to the CGI world of Spartacus.

In yet another Geek Cuisine, the whole gang tries Wonka Sluggles Gummies. Our plethora of bug jokes are as sweet and sour as the chewy goodness of the candy!

For our music this week, we have Thank U Gilligan by Moneyshot Cosmonauts, Harry’s Girl by Steve Goodie, Bert’s No Good by Robert Lund and Spaff.com

Thanks to the 99 Penny Dreadfuls and The Scaper Chronicles Podcast for their promos.
