PodCulture 394: Chunks of Honda – Part B

Welcome back to PodCulture!

We are once more sans Glenn but wish his dad a quick recovery!

Back with an extra special TV and DVD Talk, taking time to discuss two of the season’s biggest blockbusters, Star Trek Into Darkness and Iron Man 3. Christina opens, truly enjoying it, having seen it both in the theater and on blu-ray. She got Brad the Next Generation film set for his birthday. She is now able to discuss what she liked both Wrath of Khan and Into Darkness. Brad, however, had a starship full of bitterness for Into Darkness for how they handled Khan. The lady in the studio found Benedict Cumberbatch a far more frightening protagonist. Adam admires the tech of the reboot and the use of the engine room.

Iron Man 3 brings them to converse on the coolness of Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark. Adam does a brief into and synopsis. The gang lists off some of their favorite moments, including the relationship between Tony and the kids in the movie. Brad and Adam loved the plethora of suits. The character of The Mandarin meets mixed reviews. The dichotomy between Stark and his evil counterparts isn’t lost on the group. They take a look at Pepper’s character and how she, too, has evolved. Brad’s nerdy nitpick involves Iron Patriot.

Geek Cuisine ushers in the most wonderful time of the year…for Christina. Pepperidge Farm Strawberry Cheesecake and Carrot Cake Cookies!

In close, Christina is looking forward to new shows and the return of old favorites. Adam is enjoying the cooler weather and Saints Row. Brad and Christina are debating what to force Clara to wear for Halloween. Brad tells about his phone debacle. Adam recommends Posh Nosh. Christina got her mom hooked on Torchwood.

Thanks to Kirby Krackle for Tony Stark and Sci-Fried for My Name Is Spock.
